I am an Executive Leadership Coach. I partner with executives to honestly assess their current leadership strengths and their vulnerabilities, help them determine the kind of leader they want to become and then accompany them through the transition to become that leader faster than they thought possible, while enjoying the learning and growth process.
Suscipio Coaching and Consulting LLC was born out of a lifelong commitment to helping others to achieve their goals and grow personally and professionally. Building on a foundation of academic training in psychology, sociology and theology, and with over 30 years of experience in nonprofit and government service in planning, operations, training, services delivery and human resources, I bring a wealth of hands-on experience and practical knowledge to bear in working with executive leaders in the nonprofit sector.
I am a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the foremost international professional coach accrediting organization, and am currently completing the final requirements for ICF professional accreditation as an Associate Certified Coach through the ICF Accredited Coach Training Program of the Institute for Life Coach Training. I also have an extensive knowledge of individual, social and organizational psychology, and am consistently involved in continuing professional education and following current research in psychology, neuroscience, leadership and organizational behavior with a special interest in leadership and the effects of organizational culture.
My passion is to serve nonprofit organizations through personal investment in the ongoing personal and professional development of their leaders to actively meet the challenges of 21st Century change, powerfully lead their organizations forward to serve their constituencies with greater impact and contribute to social change and social justice, both in local communities and around the world.
"What’s really driving the boom in coaching, is this; as we move from 30 miles an hour to 70 to 120 to 180…as we go from driving straight down the road to making right turns and left turns to abandoning cars and getting on motorcycles…the whole game changes, and a lot of people are trying to keep up, learn how not to fall off." ~John Kotter, Author and Professor of Leadership, Harvard University
